Privacy Policy
Effective July 20, 2026
Daypin is built to be private by default. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who helps us process it, and how you can see or delete your data. If anything here is unclear, email us atayushgupta0610@gmail.com.
The short version
- We collect your email (to sign you in) and the notes and boards you create (to show them back to you).
- We use no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and we never sell your data.
- Payments are handled by a third-party processor; we never see or store your card details.
- You can delete your account and all of your data at any time.
What we collect
We only collect what the app needs to work:
- Account information. Your email address, used to sign you in with a secure magic link and to send essential account emails. We don't require a password.
- Your content. The sticky notes, days, and boards you create in Daypin. This is your data — we store it so we can show it back to you across your devices.
- Shared boards. If you share a board, or accept an invitation to someone else's, the notes on that board are visible to the people invited to it. You control who you share with, and sharing can be revoked.
- Subscription status. If you upgrade to Pro, we record that your account is subscribed and keep the payment records our processor sends us (amount, date, status). We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, or full billing details.
What we do not collect
- No advertising identifiers and no ad networks.
- No third-party analytics or behavioural-tracking SDKs.
- No location data, contacts, photos, or microphone access beyond what a feature you actively use requires.
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
How we use your information
Strictly to provide and support the service: to sign you in, store and display your notes, sync across your devices, enable boards you choose to share, process your subscription, and respond when you contact us.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of trusted providers, each only for its specific job:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles secure sign-in. Your account and content live here, isolated per-user by database-level access rules.
- Dodo Payments — our payment processor and Merchant of Record. When you subscribe, Dodo collects and handles your payment details directly under its own privacy policy; Daypin only receives your subscription status and payment records.
How your data is protected
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Every user's data is isolated by row-level security, so one account cannot read another's notes. Billing records are written only by a secured server process, never from the app itself.
Retention and deleting your data
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time — from within the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing ayushgupta0610@gmail.com from your account address. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, notes, boards, and associated records from our active systems. Routine backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
Children
Daypin is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
